Delaware Innovation Space is a non-profit that credits the State of Delaware, DuPont, and the University of Delaware as its founding partners. The Delaware Technology Park (DTP) is a recognized leading East Coast non-profit research park, providing development-stage life science, information technology, advanced materials, and renewable energy companies with access to the resources and connections needed to drive and accelerate their economic success. Since its inception in 1992, DTP has housed more than 75 companies, including 25 companies that have matured and graduated from the Park. The Delaware SBDC delivers training programs and free professional consulting services to help innovators, startups, and existing businesses (with 0-500 employees) formulate and execute strategies to grow and succeed. For over 35 years, our innovative, inclusive, and impactful solutions have helped grow Delaware’s economy. The SBDC is the only statewide, nationally accredited program that provides high quality one-on-one consulting, training and information resources. The Delaware SBDC is one of a handful of SBDCs across the country that maintains an additional “Technology” accreditation. This allows our counselors to stay on the forefront of technology innovation and advise the diverse and large Delaware scientific community in areas of technology commercialization and funding. The SBIResource program is well suited to develop Federal assistance through the SBIR/STTR programs. Furthermore, since the SBDC is hosted by the University of Delaware, it maintains strong ties to university intellectual property and resources that may be available to the Delaware community at large.
